Deep Local Diving – Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data the Deep Local Diving iOS app ("the app") collects, how it is used, and how you can have it deleted. The app is provided by Thomas Vijverberg ("we"). Questions? Email thomas@vijverb.nl. Support information is on the support page.
Data we collect

Data we do not collect
- Location: if you allow location access, it is used only on your device to show dive sites near you. It is not sent to our server or stored with your account.
- Photo library: the app only reads the photos you choose to attach to a dive.
- Advertising and tracking: the app contains no ads, no third-party analytics and no tracking. We do not sell your data and we do not share it with third parties.
How your data is protected
Data between the app and our server is sent over an encrypted connection. Your sign-in session is kept in the iOS Keychain on your device.
Offline use
Dives you log while offline are stored on your device and are sent to our server when you reconnect.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. You can delete an individual dive at any time from the Dive Log. To delete your account, email thomas@vijverb.nl with the subject "Delete my account" and your username. We delete your account, dives, photos and dive sites you added within 30 days and confirm by email.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
