DashboardSee your total dives, time underwater, dives in the past year and days since your last dive.

Dive SitesFind dive sites on a map, search them by name, add a new site, or log a dive at a site.
SettingsSwitch between metric and imperial units, choose light or dark mode, sync your data, read the safety guidelines and log out.

Log a dive

  1. Tap the button to add a dive, or tap Log a dive here on a dive site.
  2. Fill in the name, date and time, and dive site.
  3. Enter the dive profile: max depth, bottom time, and start and end pressure.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use the app without internet? Yes. You can view and log dives while offline. A banner shows "Offline", and your changes sync automatically when you reconnect.

My new dives or dive sites don't show up on another device. Go to Settings → Sync now while you're online. This fetches your latest dives and dive sites.

The map doesn't show my location. Allow location access in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Deep Local Diving. The app only uses your location to show dive sites near you.

I can't add photos to a dive. Allow photo access in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → Deep Local Diving.

It says "Too many attempts" when I log in. Wait the time shown on screen, then try again with the correct username and password.

I forgot my password. Email us using the contact details above with your username and we'll help you regain access.

How do I switch between meters and feet? Go to Settings → Units and pick Metric or Imperial.

Why was I logged out on my other devices? Logging out signs you out on all your devices. Log in again on each device you want to use.

Is Deep Local Diving a dive computer? No. The app is a log book only. Always plan your dives with a certified dive computer or tables, and follow your training. The safety tips in Settings → Safety guidelines are general reminders, not a substitute for training.

Delete your account

To delete your account, use the 'Delete account' button in the app settings page. Alternatively, email thomas@vijverb.nl with the subject "Delete my account" and your username. We delete your account, dives, photos and dive sites you added within 30 days and confirm by email.

To delete a single dive instead, open it in the Dive Log and tap Delete dive.
